While exploring Manhattan I found this metallic peacock necklace and fell instantly in love with it as a new talisman from the divine. Pairing it with this technicolor tasseled kimono and black tasseled

skirt truly made me feel like I was embodying this mystical creature as I strutted around town.

The peacock is symbolic of authentic beauty, bold presence and the unwillingness to make oneself small for the comfort of others. The bold energy of the peacock has long been a source of inspiration for me but lately especially.

First I find it incredibly beautiful the way each of the peacock’s plumed feathers are different from one another. Even though no two feathers are alike, together they create a vibrant and seamless vision. This reminds me that the goal is never to be perfect, it is simply to be bold and authentic and that is what makes one radiant. Secondly I find the magnificent span of the peacocks feathers a very special reminder that it is okay for me to be unequivocally vibrant, it is okay for me to take up a lot of space and it is okay for me to wear my beauty with pride, all unapologetically. The Peacock simply remains beautiful without a thought of how it is perceived and this is truly the level of confidence I want to embody as well as guide others towards. I also absolutely adore the way the peacock feather resembles the Nazar 🧿

To me this is symbolic of the fact if you allow your authentic beauty to shine that you can trust with certainty that the divine is watching your back against ill wishes, jealousy, and psychic attacks. Without question the Peacock is one of the most special and symbolic creatures in our animal kingdom. Each time I connect with this blessed bird I am reminded of my own specialness and that is part of my divine purpose to wear my specialness with pride as a reflection and compass to others of their own unique attributes.

Kokopelli is an ancient deity of fertility, creativity, dance and replenishment. He is a story teller and healer with who also carries the reputation of the mischievous trickster. There are as many different variations of Kokopelli myths and stories are there are ancient glyphs as reminders of his existence. Glyphs featuring this divine humped back flute player can be found all the way from the tip of South America to Canada. Mountains, Deserts and Great Plains all carry markings of his mystical existence. The first discovered petroglyphs of Kokopelli date back 3,000+ years. Truly the amount of stories about this story teller are limitless. He is most often referenced as the being that heralds the changing season from Winter to Spring. Many believe that the hump on his back carries seeds for the coming season and the songs that he plays on his celestial flute.

I find the most resonance with Kokopelli as a source of true creative inspiration. Creativity and Fertility walk hand and hand though often many are led to believe fertility only refers to childbearing. For me to be fertile is to be an ever flowing creative powerhouse. Whenever Kokopelli finds his way to me I know it is with the sacred reminder that I am on the right creative path and that I am being urged to continue creating from the fire in my belly.

As a natural born storyteller I also find deep resonance with Kokopelli because of this. He reminds me to continue sharing my souls song upon this Earth even if it is not immediately understood or well received by others. The journey must continue and the song must continue to be sung.

When I found this Blue Kokopelli dress at a Salvation Army in New York it left me breathless. I knew it was meant for me, not only as an addition to my wardrobe but as a sacred message from the divine, I was on the right track, exactly where I was meant to be.

Needless to say this edition of Alien Aesthetic is dedicated to the creative essence of Kokopelli. May your flute forever play the tune that moves flowers to bloom.

I felt divinely beautiful in this OM printed shirt.

Before I ever had the chance to wear it myself I loved it as a piece of my lover’s enigmatic wardrobe. I paired it with my handmade mirrored OM belt which to me felt like a dope combination of his masculine and my feminine energy.

It’s not at all surprising that the OM symbol is so universally loved and accepted all across belief systems as it is in its definition the all encompassing vibration of the universe.

You can truly say everything and nothing about the OM and its meaning remains endless, so I’m gonna keep it short and sweet.

Since every line and curve on the OM represents a different mode of consciousness, with my artistic expression in today’s Alien Aesthetic I aimed to convey the same.

With Love, Kismet

I wonder if at night the butterfly and dragonfly dream of one another. Love lies in opposites with a taste of familiarity and a wing flutter like home.
