Cleansing the auric field is one of the most important practices in maintaining a high vibration, which is linked directly to a healthy state of mind. What I mean exactly by cleansing the auric field is taking action to clear away any energetic debris or residue that can impact the quality in which we live. These energetic debris are created by a number of things, some of which are a routine part of our lives. Spending too much time on our mobile devices or staying overlong in the company of others are very common ways that our energy field can become impacted and in need of a cleanse. Sometimes the energetic residue lingering in our auric field stems from places that are less passive. Psychic attack, or telepathic draining can majorly impact us whether it is done intentionally or not. This occurs when somebody fixates on another individual so much that the other party’s vibration is gradually lowered until they inevitably experience mood swings, insecurity or depression. Many times an individual would never guess that their energy is depleting another as fixation is not usually done intentionally, but even so it is important to protect ourselves from these instances by cleansing thoroughly & often.

There are countless ways to cleanse the auric field, many of which come from ancient times. The most common cleansing practice is smudging or smoke cleansing. There is much debate about whether the use of White Sage is an appropriation of Native American culture. My perspective is this, the ancestors of this land foresaw through multiple prophecies that a time would come where the secrets of the people must be shared with the rest of the world, the reason for this is the saving of our Mother Earth. Our ancestors prophesied a time where people of all colors and creeds would turn to the medicine of the Earth and rebuild in unity. It is a magnificent gift to be able to work with medicines that are sacred to many people, so they must be offered reverence & respect but never ownership. Many other herbs are used traditionally to cleanse as well. My personal favorite is Yerba Santa. Like Sage it cleanses a space of all energetic debris but its unique quality is that it lifts and heals the vibration of the space that was just cleansed. Burning herbs may not be for everyone an alternative that provides just as much power is incense burning. Smoke is a powerful clearing agent especially with intention behind it. Even so, smoke cleansing may not be for everyone. My favorite alternative to methods involving smoke are methods involving water. A hot shower can be turned into a cleansing waterfall. A hot bath can become a salt water soak that nourishes you body and mind. A few moments under the rain can become a cleanse straight from your creator. Even washing your hands can become a moment of regaining clarity. It is intention that gives every method of cleansing its power.

So how can you tell when it is time for a cleanse? Here are some signals to be on the lookout for

•unshakable irritability, this often comes with a sense that you don’t know what’s wrong yet everything still feels like something is off.

•sudden waves of tiredness & still feeling drained even after eating, drinking water or relaxing.

•disconnected thoughts, feeling like your thoughts are running in circles/ an inability to focus, also may appear as depressing thoughts that don’t match your frequency.

•lack of motivation, suddenly feeling like everything you wanted to put energy into no longer matters, nothing feels worth the effort.

•isolation, feeling like the only way you can feel better is if you are locked away from everything/ everyone else

•overeating, often we will binge eat to compensate for something draining us, a key signal will be knowing you are not hungry but still wanting to devour whatever is there.

•emotional overflow, feeling highly sensitive or angry, quick to cry or outburst with no perceivable reason generally means it’s time to cleanse

Leaving behind toxic environments can be challenging beyond measure, especially when they are the environments that raised you or held your first perceptions of love. While it is a blessing to be born into a family full of love and light, there are those of us who are full of light and born into families full of inexcusable toxicity. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to realize you deserve more love that what is being offered to you, it takes even more to walk away without regret from harmful environments. For anybody who feels like they have never known love in the places that raised them I encourage you to go into the world and seek the family that is meant to become yours. Let your family be based on true love and freedom rather than blood obligations. Let the rivers of true love flow free, no rules no regulation, just connection.

Vampires

Vampires comes in all shapes and sizes,

sometimes they even have the same big brown eyes,

I’ve seen the devil in her most beautiful disguises,

trading in love for pretty prizes,

I grew wise and flew to wider horizons,

she screams her blood is thicker than water,

but not every she deserves a daughter,

never once did she consider

I dream of rivers, a love as reflective as crystal mirrors.

love is a choice not designated by birth,

sometimes light is born to darkness with an unquenchable thirst,

it takes bravery to rise above and put resonance first,

to choose not to be a victim of another generational curse,

to see past the pretty lies clearly rehearsed,

and become an entirely different creature,

one with glowing truth as her most beautiful feature

Karma

Wandering deep into the forest of my unconscious mind,

I shed my skin and leave behind fragmented love,

I choose the warmth of my lovers skin on mine,

I no longer press rewind and torture myself with the concept of time,

in our love is all I hoped to find,

It opened my eyes to every way I was blind,

accepting love in the form of a knife from behind.

Grasping hands wanting to keep me small,

to prevent me from soaring at all,

wondering why I won’t answer or call,

as if they weren’t praying for me to fall,

Karma answers my prayers and keeps me growing tall,

that’s why I won’t look over my shoulder at all

Empty

If thoughts are leaves then the trees of my mind have been in winter for quite some time,

shedding away all that isn’t really mine,

planted from seeds already left behind,

leaving the branches of my consciousness room to breath,

the freedom of emptiness is hard to believe,

empty of every lie you wanted me to conceive,

empty of every hateful word that sprouted like disease,

empty of the venom that brought me to my knees,

I am one with the sound of love dancing in the breeze

There is so much that can be said about the wonders of working with herbs. The beauty is that every individual’s relationship with herbs will be entirely different even when using mirroring practices. This is because herbs are a living part of creation just like we are, every plant will carry its own essence and attune differently to our unique energies. My love for herbal remedies began with tinctures and essential oils, this love became a sacred part of my routine when I began working with dried herbs. In particular making my own tea blends has become ceremonial for me and a key part of bringing balance into my day. It has invigorated my spirit so much I wanted to write about it.

First it is important to discover what herbs resonate the most with your body’s unique chemistry. Herbs like Rose, Lavender or Chamomile are a good place to start as they will soften the overall flavor of the tea while adding their own unique healing components. Rose is deeply protective and sensuous while Lavender and Chamomile are both great for soothing restless energy and helping inducing a state of calm. All three make great additions to dream pillows, stuffed pockets of material filled with herbs and talismans to aide in dream exploration.

It’s exploring beyond these and discovering which herbs call directly to you that can really enrich your body and soul. Being willing to experiment and try herbs based on intuition has led me to deeply healing places. Discovering what calls to you is as simple as finding an herb or spiritual shop and allowing yourself to browse slowly with the intention of being found. Doing this led me to Elderflower and Elderberry which have become staples in my growing apothecary. Each is deeply protective against psychic attack and aides with auric cleansing. I find them deeply helpful in keeping unwanted energies from lingering in my auric field. Elderflower is light with a woodsy floral flavor while Elderberry is tart and will color your tea in its red hue. Of the herbs I have discovered the two that I find my body craving the most are Jasmine Flower and Damiana. I’ve always had a fondness for jasmine tea but working with the flower itself makes me feel a sense of romance with my tea. The fragrance of the tiny, soft white flowers is my favorite to bathe in while I’m preparing my mixtures. In addition to it adding a sweet floral flavor to tea it is great for softening the boundaries of the heart to allow opening up to oneself. I feel like I could go on and on about Damiana. Its naturally energizing and for me helps me stay focused in draining environments. It’s one of the few quick remedies I’ve found to headaches, even ones related to the energy of others. You can even smoke Damiana. When you do it makes the colors you see around you more pronounced and the music you’re listening to even more vibrant in sound.

One of the greatest parts of forming a relationship with herbs is that an apothecary can be built from the ground up on a budget and you don’t need a lot of space. I’ve been living nomadically for some time and have been able to carry between 12 and 15 jars at a time comfortably in my herb bag. So, if you find yourself with limited space or availability to spend a relationship with herbs can still flourish. It is important to know the value of the herbs you are buying without overpaying. Of course it feels best to purchase herbs from a shop that makes you feel good upon entering but if they feel out of your price range keep searching and you will find something that feels reasonable. If all else fails there are companies like StarWest Botanicals or heartofthedragon.net where you can order online and save.

For some time my relationship with tea was limited to making me feel energized and more hydrated than ever. Truly tea is the most wonderful way to ensure your body is taking in enough water if you are like me and crave the experience of flavor when drinking. The bonus is that what is bringing flavor to the tea is also heightening your health and auric field. Without sweetener the herbal taste is invigorating and with a touch of Agave it becomes a sweet comfort when needed.

It was as I started bringing Ceremony into my Tea that I began to feel things shifting internally and externally. By chance I found a beautiful goblet at the Goodwill that I felt was begging for tea. When it came time to use it I felt in my spirit it would be much more beneficial to drop my herbs straight into the bottom rather than using my infuser. Ever since this ceremony has become sacred to my heart. With each herb I drop into the goblet I offer a special intention based on what I feel my heart needs at the moment. I do the same as I slowly pour the water over the herbs. I allow myself to drop my thoughts and intuitively read the image of leaves floating on the surface. After this I take the visual I received from the tea and stretch my body while I allow the tea to cool down enough to drink. After three cups of tea (the goblet is about half the size of a large tea mug) I turn the cup in my hands and allow myself this time to intuitively read the leaves that remain plastered to the side of the cup. I have found that the visuals I receive while reading my tea leaves are just as powerful as the ones I receive while using other forms of divination, and so I have quickly fallen in love with the craft. I recommend this to anybody looking to bring their body and spirit into closer harmony. I feel I am vitalizing my body while at the same time opening up the window to divine connection.
