On September 3rd I made my very first Alien Aesthetic post which was entitled “Jungle Lady.” Even though it wasn’t really that long ago it’s such a trip to look back on and see how far I’ve come creatively with this blog. When I got dressed this morning I knew I wanted to create something animalistic featuring the Leopard. I especially wanted to honor this majestic creature because sometime last week I did cheetah energy and I wanted to highlight the distinct energetic differences between two animals that are so often confused with one another. These two creatures bring one of my favorite sayings to mind that “there is a difference between oneness and sameness” I see oneness within the two creatures as they both carry big cat energy as well as sharing roles as queens of the wild. Both of their coats are famous for evoking an air of sensuality. Because of this I decided I wanted to also incorporate mirrors in remembrance of the fact we all carry reflections of one another within our being. It doesn’t mean we are exact or a copy, but there will always be a similarity to discover. However, just as no two humans are the same no two creatures in the animal kingdom will ever be exactly the same. So, this edition of Alien Aesthetic is dedicated to the mighty Leopard as well as my mighty, ever evolving creativity. Below is the original and only photo featured in the first “Jungle Lady”

In this moment I feel so proud of my persistence and dedication with this blog. I hope you’re enjoying the evolution as much as I am, keep scrolling to see the ascension to Jungle Lady II

Today’s Featured Alien is Jessie, on Instagram as @jessieaprte. I first met Jessie at an event where she was vending her artwork. First I was blown away by the creativity in front of me, her artwork carried powerful messages of self love and worth that were bathed in the softness of her personal expression. You can find Jessie’s beautiful artwork @crystle.arts. Next I was struck by the sincerity and sweetness that poured from her. Jessie has a timeless beauty about her that at once makes her seem like a classic movie star as well as a vision of futuristic grace. In Jessie’s own words,”

I believe fashion should compliment you, your body, be comfortable, and express who you are.

I absolutely love clothes that have a vintage aesthetic, whether it’s 20s-80s. My personality is so bubbly and outgoing and bold, my style i like to keep it simple yet classy? I think my hair expresses my personality more. always changing, loud, playful, youthful.”

Velvet will forever be one of my favorite textures. I feel it has the power of adding sensuality and appeal to any look. The way it feels against my skin alone makes me feel both soft & angelic as well as bold & empowered in my sex appeal. In this red velvet I found myself inspired by the Vampire, in particular the Vampire Vixen. Since I am an individual made of opposites I decided I wanted to create a photo sequence that features the energy of the seductress of the night as well as the softness contained in a love story.

Today’s Featured Alien is Carlos, on Instagram as @bonitocarlitos. Carlos is a fiery individual who carries within a heart overflowing with love. Carlos is a ray of positivity. I am one of many individuals who has been impacted by his radiant soul. His vibrancy definitely shows in his style. He is colorful, fluid and constantly evolving. He is also highly creative and has put together some truly one of a kind festival adornments. On and of the dance floor Carlos is a magnetic force, an “Epicenter” of love who I am grateful to have in my world. In Carlos’ own words, “What expression through style means to me is being able to translate your being through what you wear, and how you wear it. It means being free to like what you like. To being your true authentic self through. My style is fluid.”

Leave it to the color black to make you feel strong and sensual on any occasion. Upon seeing my reflection this morning I felt I was looking upon a Goddess, I mean this on multiple levels as Black is the color of the Goddess. Black is also the color of Death. Of all the things we tend to misunderstand and misrepresent as humans, death probably ranks the top of the list. Death is most often seen as something to fear and something to dread. I feel that this is most likely because so many of us are living under the misconception that Death is a finality, a permanent cease to existence. The simple truth is that Death is a transference of light. Life and Death work together in an endless cycle of creation. The existence of Death itself implies Life. To truly understand this we must be willing to look beyond what is presented to us as truth. Just like the phases of the moon life works in a “Life, Death, Life” cycle. We encounter many deaths in our life aside from the most obvious meaning. Breakups, ending friendships, leaving home, changing careers or putting an old issue to rest are all examples of Death. From these moments we must start from scratch, birthing ourselves into our new realities.

Winter is the time of Death, regeneration and renewal. All we must do is look at the way the leaves fall from the trees and feel the chill of the air to know this as true. Winter is preparation for the beauty of spring. Dead leaves must fall so that flowers may later bloom. For anybody reading this today I hope you honor this winter as a time of Death, find the beauty in it and know that all the dead weight you let go of at this time

will be replaced by love in bloom when warmth fills the air again.

Today’s featured Alien is Kris, on Instagram as @blakneptune. The first time I encountered Kris they were browsing at Kindred Spirits. I noted their energy, even without talking I sensed they were a special individual. To my pleasant surprise Kris returned the next day and I was granted the opportunity to work with them through the Tarot. It was immediately confirmed, as I suspected that Kris truly is an incredible unique individual with a divine purpose that I believe is going to leave them with no doubt in their mind how vital they are on this Earth. Kris has an easy going style that looks effortless, but still oozes cool. In Kris’ own words,”I believe style is a manifestation of the energy you have that day. Style is a kind of costume to me as well. Even if it’s grey sweatpants and a Nirvana t-shirt, that’s your costume for the day. There’s power in that. I admire people who wear amazing outfits and beautiful makeup because that’s their energy and it’s beautiful. I also admire those who don’t and take a different route, that’s their energy. Never let anyone tell you that you don’t have style, and never be afraid to try new ones”
