THE TEMPLE

Updated: Sep 2, 2019

Sacred space is crucial to living a peaceful and harmonious life. Sacred space comes in many forms each one being equally restoring and invigorating.

You can create a small area in your home that is solely dedicated to bringing you peace. This would be a good place to create an altar and fill it with crystals, plants & flowers, photographs and anything else that helps you connect to your soul. Sitting in this place of peace in quiet contemplation for just a few minutes every day can increase your vitality and restore your connection to yourself, especially if you spend a lot of time in the energy of other people.

If you don’t have access to sacred space in your dwelling then it becomes doubly important to recognize your own being as sacred space. In truth your body is the temple that houses your soul. Carrying crystals to elevate your vibration is one way to honor your sacred space, another is adorning your physical body in clothing and accessories that reflect how you feel internally.

It’s okay to retreat to your temple at anytime in any place. If you feel anxious or overwhelmed in an environment this is the perfect time to disconnect and grant yourself a few minutes entirely in your own energy. Take deep breaths, go for a walk around the block, stand with the sun in your face, listen to a song that comforts you. Recognize you have the power at any time to seek shelter from a chaotic world.

Sacred space or Temple can also be found in divine partnership. When two open hearted individuals with the capacity for unconditional love come together they create an oasis from the distractions and pressures of the outside world. In this Oasis you are free to live as your authentic selves in the arms of another, but first you must already know the importance of living authentically. To honor another’s temple first you must know how to honor your own. If you keep a temple that is full of cobwebs how could you expect to help another keep theirs dust free? Better yet how could you expect them to clear your cobwebs if you don’t take the time yourself. Two being who fully accept the responsibility and respect the sanctity of temple can offer love and freedom in the same breath.
